Lee Forster

I’m Lee Forster, Corby coordinator for the North Northamptonshire Green Party and very proud to be standing for Lloyds & Corby Village in the coming by-election.

I have spent my whole life living in Corby, coming from a large family and having two sons. I am all too aware of the many issues and hardships affecting families in the current cost of living crises.

For the past 13 years I have relentlessly campaigned against the 2 planned incinerators that are due to be built at Gretton Brook road and Shelton road.

Over these years I have called meetings with decision makers, raised questions at all levels and will continue to do so until these are stopped. Our town has suffered enough and residents deserve a healthy environment to thrive in.

As a Corby Green Party candidate I feel it is my duty to hold to account those in the decision making process. Historically we’ve been let down by our Labour and Conservative rulers both at Borough and County level, now we have Reform who have let us down by standing unsuitable candidates at a cost to the taxpayer, £27,000 this by election is costing us. I’m fully committed and prepared for the role of NNC councillor, I will stay the course and deliver where needed on important policy decisions being made for our town…I won’t let you down.

History repeating itself is not on my agenda, we need change..real change…the Toxic Town series on Netflix was a real eye opener with regard to the level of underhanded cover ups that our councils thought they could get away with, this kind of cultural behaviour must end now!..whether it’s air pollution from unwanted incineration projects or higher than national average childhood cancers linked to contaminated land I  will continue to stand up for those affected by this lack lustre leadership.

Although willing and keen to work with other parties for the benefit of corby i am not willing to compromise my core values of social & environmental justice for everyone in our community.

I’m Corby through and through and my heart and passion for our town is evident in my commitment to get elected and to be able to represent the community that I love.
