Adrian Watts
Local Campaigner
After growing up and leaving school in Kettering, Adrian served as a soldier/chef in the Army in the UK, Europe and the Falkland Islands. He continued within catering management, running kitchens and restaurants until he joined Weetabix, where he has enjoyed a 29-year career within the food safety, compliance and hygiene management teams developing his auditing and investigating skills.
His free time has seen him leading Scouting activities and expeditions in the UK and Europe, holding qualifications in canoeing, archery, shooting and expedition leadership. He has co run the local ukulele group for nearly 10 years and as an original member of the Burton Latimer Litter Wombles, now organises litter picking and other eco events with the Burton Latimer Eco Action Team. He is a Cycling UK ride leader and a director of the Stride & Ride CIC which supports and encourages cycling within the community.
Adrian has been married to Sue for nearly 40 years and their 3 children all attended local schools, and all still live in the area. With over 35 years’ experience living and supporting the local community he would love to continue that support as your voice on the NNC council.
